About Us

Lithify brings together some of the UK's best-known and highly regarded consultants to provide world-class IT security solutions to medium and large enterprise in the UK and beyond.

Our unparalleled experience of complex deployments in the most challenging environments makes us the best choice for security excellence.

In a climate dominated by generalist contractors, our company provides expert insight to deliver solutions go far beyond a basic implementation, meaning that you get the most from your investment.

Strong Foundations

Knowing that you are free to innovate, collaborate and explore new avenues in business leads to success, and having a stable platform on which to develop is key.

Providing a strong foundation gives this freedom.

IT security needs to grow up, and Lithify is at the forefront of this new approach. We leave behind the padlocks, the shackles and the culture of fear to help our clients embrace a new era of service to the users and businesses we support.

Everything described on this website is possible right now.

With creative implementation which truly considers the needs of the enterprise and thinks laterally to deploy tools in innovative ways, we can deliver platforms which not only are a positive influence on the enterprises they support.

Our Approach

Everything we do is lead by consultancy.

We do not employ commissioned sales people who are inevitably pushing for big-ticket sales. You should expect your account manager to be an experienced security professional who will become familiar with your business and will be an advisor to your company for years to come.

The solutions we devise and recommend are based on sound technical evaluation of your environment and working together to understand you, your team and the needs of your enterprise. There is no standard approach or a "cookie cutter" tick sheet. Whist we have favoured technologies, no one vendor dominates our solution design and we expect each solution to be bespoke. Our solutions are requirements based rather than vendor-lead because we will not shoe-horn inappropriate technology into your network to hit a 3rd-party metric (e.g. to support a sales campaign).

In any of the project types below, our engagement begins with a consultation, dsicussion of the short and long term aims of the organisation and a proposal on how best to move forward.

A typical engagement begins with an introductory call with one of our commercial consultants.

Our experienced security specialists engage with our clients, understand their business and make recommendations based on need. Whilst many clients make major investments our first priority is to ensure that your current requirements are met.

If you wish to engage us to work on a high value project immediately, we are happy to do so, but often we begin with a few days consultancy to assist, evaluation your existing environment and make further technical recommendations.

Scope of Works

Every activity is controlled by a Scope of Works which accurately defines the task at hand.

For short term single-tasks, this will be a concise summary of the objectives and duties to be performed.

For a large implementation programme, the scope of works will be accompanied by a project plan and a solution design document will be written as the first undertaking of the engagement.

Project milestones are also tightly controlled and change management applied to keep the plan on track, to time and budget.

Project Management

You should expect your project to be tightly controlled with regular touch-points for evaluation of success/failure and identification of any risks and remedial actions required. An escalation path will also be published.

Account Management

You should expect ongoing assistance from an expert account manager, who will be a consistent contact throughout your engagement with us. The account manager provides a single point of contact for all commercial dealings, is an escalation point during technical deployments and is a friendly face to whom you can reach out whenever you wish.

Ongoing Consultancy

Complex security solutions require ongoing support and monitoring, and changes are frequent. An unmanaged security infrastructure is almost as bad as no infrastructure at all and the pitfalls of bringing outside contractors into your team are well documented.

We find that clients often want to stay in contact with their consultants, and an ongoing engagement is often beneficial. Having regular visits from an expert consultant augments the skills of your existing team and removes much of the worry from managing complex infrastructure.

A consistent consultancy resource who knows your network and your team is extremely helpful as previous knowledge is retained, and a comfortable way of working develops. It's also more cost-effective than engaging a different consultant each time as the on-boarding process is avoided.

Ongoing consultancy also negates the requirement for long-term contractors where a few days per month would be sufficient to handle the workload associated with key solutions (such as Check Point).

Typically, a few days per month or per quarter is ordered in advance and days drawn off as required on a time and materials basis.

Lithify has offered this service for many years and we have recently evolved to a productised service called Check Point Mentor.
